Screaming Bean |

My spouse's classmates, being the nice sort of people asked about me during the first days of class. They all know I sat for the Bar in July and were wondering how life has been going since that milestone. The answer was, "Beanie is doing okay." However, a theory was floated by my spouse that there is a great untreated group of former law students suffering from Bar Depression. Here we've put off a great deal of our life, not only for the Bar Exam, but through law school in general. For those of us who weren't successful enough to get a job lined up before the exam, there is a great miasma of uncertainty floating about our heads. We're sort of lawyers, but not really, and we have alot of things going for us now with all this free time but no ambition to do any of it. In some book somewhere this must all add up to a depressive state. In a way, it's a relief to give this feeling a label even if I don't know what to do with it now that I've put it in a box.
