There's really no question where I sit in my politics. I nearly didn't watch the debate tonight. My Evidence professor mentioned that he once got to judge John Kerry during his Gabrielli Trial Competition at Boston College. He said that he was an outstanding advocate even then. The years of practice paid off tonight. No smirking during reaction shots, his timing was perfect, and the skills were honed. I didn't have great hopes for this debate but it's amazing when you don't have high expectations what you get. I almost wished I had gone to campus tonight for the viewing. It would have been nice to see the Republicans on campus slink out of the room.
