I'm supposedly going to get a mentor. Now my prior experience with mentors have not been good ones, the one I got as a 1L never spoke to me, and the one I had as a paralegal became openly hostile when I applied to law school. I'm not holding out a lot of hope for this. I just want someone who is in the field, can discuss the vagaries of the work world and getting a job, and is willing to get a drink with every now and then. My luck I'll get someone who's just looking for an ego boost and has no intention of helping out a lowly 3L. I do have another interview this week though, so maybe I'll get a job without em.
